Lions’ Pancake Breakfast
A short and belated Happy Fathers’ Day post:
Yesterday I went to the Peach Arch Monarch Lions’ traditional Fathers’ Day pancake breakfast as a B.C. Ambassador.
This is my third time helping out: I helped as a Miss White Rock candidate, Miss White Rock and this time under my current title.
The Peace Arch Monarch Lions were my White Rock sponsor, so I’m happy to help them out whenever I have the chance.
So I woke up at 6 a.m. on Sunday to get ready (royalty take a long time to get ready) and headed to the hall for 8 a.m.
I helped serve coffee, poured glasses of juice and chit-chatted with the many families who showed up to support the Lions and take dad out for a scrumptious breakfast.
Volunteering at local events has been one of my favourite parts of my ambassador days. And even though I will no longer be allowed to wear a crown after August, I know I’ll find a way to remain involved.
Happy (belated) Fathers’ Day!
